低壓紫外線殺菌燈
低壓紫外線殺菌燈 所產生的紫外線能有效地殺滅微生物,其幅射線中95%為波段2537A (或一般指為254 nm)是一個最有效殺滅致病毒細菌的波段.
紫外線殺菌燈使微生物立即死亡或失去继续生存、繁殖的能力；此外紫外線殺菌燈可以代替其他化学消毒剂（例如氯或氯化物),不会在饮水内加入或残留任何有伤害性的化学物质；而且以紫外线杀病毒的效果较加氯法高数倍，安全性亦较高.

產生臭氧的紫外燈能釋放可控制的更短波段1850A (或指185nm).此短波段能制造臭氧,能氧化產生有異臭氣的分子,所以具有除臭功能.另臭氧可以藉著空气帶至紫外光線不能透過的地方,產生取臭及消毒相重功效. 此類紫外燈大多使用在游泳池或桑拿池或需要氧化反應的水處理工藝或空气淨化工藝.
